WE CREATE A MARKET FOR
BIOCREDITS IN PRODUCTION LANDSCAPE
WE CREATE A MARKET
FOR BIOCREDITS IN PRODUCTION LANDSCAPES
There are good conditions for a credible and transparent market for trading biocredits in production landscapes. The Swedish Biocredit Alliance initiative works to create structural and regular conditions for trading biocredits in managed landscapes such as forests, agriculture and marine environments.
The Swedish Biocredit Alliance has already presented a standard for biocredits in production landscapes and we are working to develop clear guidelines, a project register and the requirements that will apply to actors in the value chain. We are looking for more committed partners who want to see the same development as us. Please contact us to hear more..
Good conditions for a market for biocredits in Sweden
In Sweden, there are good conditions for a credible and transparent market for trading in biocredits. However, there is a lack of fundamental conditions for a functioning market, which is why the Swedish Biocredit Alliance initiative exists with the aim of creating structural and regular conditions for trading in biocredits.
Swedish Biocredit Alliance is working to develop regulations and guidance, develop transparent solutions for project registers and propose a contract model for market parties. We are looking for more committed partners who want to see the same development as us. Please contact us to hear more.
In the fall of 2024, WWF released its global position on voluntary biocredits. WWF emphasizes the importance of closing the funding gap for nature conservation.
